  Bahasa: Museum Aceh adalah sebuah museum etnografi dari suku bangsa-suku bangsa asli yang mendiami Aceh. Museum Aceh didirikan pada masa pemerintahan Hindia Belanda, yang pemakaiannya diresmikan oleh Gubernur Sipil dan Militer Aceh Jenderal H.N.A. Swart pada tanggal 31 Juli 1915. Pada waktu itu bangunannya berupa sebuah bangunan Rumah Tradisional Aceh (Rumoh Aceh). Bangunan tersebut berasal dari Paviliun Aceh yang ditempatkan di arena Pameran Kolonial (De Koloniale Tentoonsteling) di Semarang pada tanggal 13 Agustus - 15 November 1914. English : Aceh state museum, popularly known as Aceh Museum is a museum in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. It is one of the oldest museum in Indonesia. Today the museum collects Acehnese related archaeological items, flora and fauna from Aceh, ethnographic items, old manuscripts, stones and minerals from the region, Acehnese ceramic, coins and seal from the kingdom of Aceh, and historic paintings.

  Monument specially constructed in memory of victims of Eqarthquake &Tsunami in Aceh on 26 Dec 2004. Many pictorials, dioramas, videos n artifacts on display. In chamber of prayers the walls are lined with names of deceased. The tunnel walk replicate the 'horrific experience' as described by the lucky survivors. The flags of ALL countries which assisted in kind & financially displayed at gallery . Unfortunately the displays on 3rd & 4th level needed sprucing up due to neglect.

  Loved the traditional Rumoh Aceh exhibition! It gave you a sense of somehow living in the past! All the things displayed here were realistic.
