  A football ground sized open space/ city square in the heart of Pematangsiantar city usually holds official city ceremonies. The square is historical because it had been part of Dutch governance' s urban planning together with the existance of Balai Kota ( city hall), Bioskop Ria, an old former movie theater, and several conserved old Dutch collonial structure around. People used to call the square Lapangan Simarito. Open for public to hanging out doing some sports and play. Some food booths occupied the side square at night for people to hanging out.
