  HKI (Huria Kristen Indonesia) Depok This church is located on Jln Puring No. 21, Pancoran Mas, old Depok, west Java 16431. HKI church is not a HKBP church, but the first church pioneered in the late 1920s in Pantoan Pematang Siantar north Sumatera by Rev F.P. Sutan Malu Panggabean and new on 1st April 1927, Rev Panggabean informed by an official letter to the local Government. The establishment of Hoeria Christen Batak or HChB which later changed its name to HKI or Huria Kristen Indonesia is to organize evangelism (marturia), fellowship (koinonia) and service of love (diakonia). RMG or German zending mission under the influence of Ludwig Ingwer Nommensen, the first Ephorus HKBP which in this case is a RMG Evangelist who has been regarded as a Batak land apostle, initially disagreed with the establishment of this HChB, because there already is a HKBP church in Batak land centered in Tarutung. But permission requests are then met provided that HChB can provide qualified protestant clergymen from the RMG range. Although in the course of time, HChB then changed its name to HKI, but it still felt as ethnic church of Batak people, also despite having expanded to outside of Sumatera island, ethnic aroma was still felt. Around the year 1992 HKI split into two with the birth of HKIP Church or Huria Kristen Protestan Indonesia. HKIP obviously broke away from HKI, as well as HKBP which had previously broken into HKBP and GKPI or Gereja Kristen Protestan Indonesia. As well as HKI, HKIP is also headquartered in Pematang Siantar ie at Jalan Pisang, Gang Delima No. 2, Pematang Siantar, north Sumatra Province. This church is not restricted to a particular tribal community, but all the tribes belonging to the Protestant Christian community may become hippopists, even though HKI have proclaimed similar diversity before. HKIP which is a splinter HKI this has not developed far, but after all HKIP has proclaimed itself as not ethnic church in this country. While HKI still continue its development like HKI church that we get in this Depok Puring road. This HKI church is quite long in history, so it can not be ignored, because in addition to pure lutheran as well as HKBP, also this church has been printing many famous theologians on the basis of prestige as a German Lutheran. HKI which is located in Jln Puring I think it's worthy to be a destination for any Christian citizen to run the Sunday worship and other Christian days. The environment around the legacy Cornelis Chastelein in old Depok is quite calm and comfortable, while the parking lot that can only be for motorcycles, can be arranged by parking the car along Jln Nusa Indah near YLCC football field. I can only give 3 stars because of the physical limitations of building HKI Depok for the growing congregation and lack of adequate information from the managers HKI Depok to the public.
