  I am American police fitness instructor, powerlifter, and a martial artist. I trained at this gym for 4 months while I was vacationing in Manado. My review of the Hardcore gym is based on my 25 years of experience and studies in weight training, strength training, powerlifting, and as a police fitness instructor. First, the gym owner is weak, fat, out of shape, ignorant of fitness, weight training, and gym cleanliness. It was very sad to see that so many people that workout at this gym perform most exercises incorrectly and fail to use the full range of motion (ROM). I also saw many people incorrectly use progressive overload. Too many people using machines and not using moderate to heavy weights on compound exercises such as squats, bench press, deadlifts and the overhead press. These are standard compound exercises for building muscle, strength, and power. I did not see any strong people at this gym as most people use light weights. I have trained variety of men 20-50 years old and after a year of weight training they will bench press 100+ kilos or more, squat 150+ kilos , deadlift 180+ kilos and overhead press 80+ kilos or more. They will get strong, lean, muscular with proper weight training programming. There were too many weight training machines and only one power rack. The power rack is the best training equipment when you include quality barbells. The barbells at this gym were low quality, not maintained properly and had rust on them. One barbell was very old and dangerous to use on compound exercises. The power rack was not secured to the floor. The bench press benches and Incline benches were not secured to the floor. They need to be secured to the floor when moderate weight or heavy weight is used so they do not fall. The cable machines are excellent training equipment but one cable machine was old and the other was not balance properly. The heaviest dumbells at this gym were only 40 kilos and too light for me when doing dumbell rows and shrugs. The gym employees never sanitize/clean the gym equipment, showers or toilet as they were too busy sleeping or watching TV. They are lazy gym employees, smoke and do not workout.This gym is closed on Sundays and closes on every holiday. There are a lot of holidays in Indonesia. The monthly cost of 260,000 Rupiah is expensive for what you receive at this gym. I suggest anyone considering this gym is that you visit other gyms in Manado so you can compare the training environment, gym hours, gym employees, training knowledge, gym equipment, and gym cleanliness.
