  One of the few music store that sells CDs, DVDs, vinyls, and....yes..cassettes! It used to be filled up to the second floor, but now it only fills the ground floor. The collection is good: oldies, classic, rock, jazz, compilation, world, etc. The owner will greet you and help with what you're looking for. You can also order through them.

  I am a music enthusiast and I often buy CDs to get the best quality out of newly released musics. I started my hobby in collecting physical CDs back when I was in Junior High School. The reasons are they absolutely provide people with much higher sound quality with 24/7 availability offline, they have a great album cover that you could explore (admittedly only once in a while you actually enjoy this), and they symbolize our appreciation to the artists Duta Suara Musik has been my central music store if I want to browse music. They used to rule the malls across Jakarta with stores in every single mall. With the swamp of digital music and online services, Duta Suara Musik Agus Salim is the only place for me to browse music collection. Duta Suara Musik has an astounding collection of music. You can name every genre and they surely have it. Duta Suara Musik also caters for us who would like to order rare CDs, although the prices may scare you when they quote for you. Despite the technological advances in creating music accessible to more people, I still find Duta Suara Musik the purpose to exist. It offers high quality music available 24/7 offline (buying a CD) and when you demand any CD, Duta Suara most certainly delivers for you. They even have Go-Jek when you do not have the time to visit the store. To top it all, the store is very clean and very organized, making discovering music is easy. And if you need some equipments for music, they do sell you headsets, foam for headphones, cables, CD cases, and so on The downsides.......... I think the pricing, but I can't blame them since most records labels in Indonesia do not produce CDs anymore, depending from outside of Indonesia. Second, parking, since I always drive, you need to prepare to park your vehicle. It is quite difficult to get a parking space since this area is full of restaurants, shops, and so on. My conclusion, Duta Suara Musik delivers what it can deliver and it should deliver, providing people with access to physical music. It has a vast amount of albums and titles, the staffs are friendly, knowledgeable, and they are very patient, and the fact that you should not come to the store to get yourself a new album. I hope Duta Suara Musik would still continue in the midst of internet based music

  It is a legendary music shop and I have been visiting this place since I was 13. The shop was once a two-storey, with cassette tapes on the first floor, and CD's and DVD's on the second. The staff are very friendly and they have very good knowledge on music. The shop also sells music accessories like headphones, sound cables, jacks, and even blank cassette tapes.
